OUR MISSION
At El Programa de Apoyo Escolar de Chuburná Puerto A.C. we believe that education is the key to unlock all doors. As a Mexican nonprofit charity our mission is to further the accessibility of education in the Chuburná Puerto community.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
Money raised from our annual My Sister's Closet Fashion Show, Boutique and Silent Auction provides educational support for ALL students of Chuburná. Your donations ensure student access to computers and internet in our computer center, pays for projects like the recent expansion of 2 classrooms at the primary school (PHOTOS), and support for the middle school computer center. We also provide students with hygiene and sanitary products in the local schools.
Fashion show donations also provide for glasses and tutoring of students enrolled in our Individual Student Sponsorship Program. If you'd like to become a Sponsor for a student (grades 4 -12), please click here.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Now more than ever, we need YOUR help and support to carry our mission into 2022. For the health and safety of our Fashion Show guests and volunteers, we have had to postpone our ONLY fundraising event, normally held every January. Your donation here today will ensure that our program continues to make education accessible for all Chuburná students. We can't wait to bring the excitement, glamour and FUN of the Fashion Show back when it is safe to do so.
